I've been developing with Delphi since version 1. I haven't paid too much
(any?) attention to the .NET stuff but since I'm about to start developing
some new applications I thought I'd at least consider the pros and cons. So
here's the question - and forgive me if it's too basic - why should I use
Delphi 8 .NET as opposed to develop in good old Delphi 7 for Win 32? Is
there a good basic primer on - "why .NET is wonderful"? Hopefully the
reasons to use .NET are better than "because Microsoft / Borland will stop
supporting Win32 in a couple of year"
To give you some background on the applications I develop - most of the
applications are not database applications and most involve heavy, although
not extreme, floating point calculations.
Thanks,
Steve
