Minor quibble, and probably in another thread which I haven't found
or have ignored, but...

Seems to me the process is "report the bug in the newsgroup, get
consensus it's a bug, then enter it in QC". If I'm going to go
through the work of raising the issue in the newsgroup, I get the
joy of doing it again in QC. That's double work for me, and time
away from doing something else.

I also feel that someone who reports a good bug will report it well
regardless of the medium. A poorly presented newsgroup bug will
still be poorly presented in QC.

I think this is the best way to go, for all the reasons you
mentioned, and newsgroup feedback should help refine the bug report
into something better. But while i'm wishing on stars, it would be
nice to have someone else scooping ng reported issues and putting
them in QC.
