Rats. Actually it has Office XP. I just looked and it does have .NET
installed afterall. I'll need to have my wife try it, I KNOW that her PC
won't have .NET already installed.

See above. But it does bring up the question of what actually IS the minimal
install that will work with a "Hello World" .NET application.
