QC 5750 Steps:
1) Open Internet Explorer or another web browser capable of utilizing
the HTTP/1.1 protocol as laid out in RFC 2616.
2) Browse to http://www.borland.com/.
3) Click on the link across the top that says "Downloads".
4) Click on the link along the left side that says "Delphi".
5) Scroll down to the section titled "Registered Users".
6) Click on the "Updates" link that is in the same row as the column
that says it's for Version 7.
7) A pop-up will rudely come up over your existing browser, in it will
be a prompt for your registered login name or e-mail address and
password. Fill these in with legitimate information and press the
button entitled "SUBMIT".
8) You will be prompted to choose a language with which to see a
"License Agreement" prior to being shown the current downloads. (Note
that despite having agreed to these in the past, you will always be
shown these same annoying license agreements *over and over and over
again*). Click the link representing the language you fluently speak.
9) If you agree to the chosen license, scroll to the bottom and click
on "I AGREE".
10) Observe the lack of any available service pack or rollup package
for the main Delphi product, also observe how the only available
updates are almost a year old (except for the DB2 update, released in
early August).
Clearly this is a bug, perhaps caused by a lack of internal
communication between upper management and developer support, but it is
not for this user to speculate as to how the bug came to pass, it is
only for me to point out that it indeed exists, and is easily
reproducible using the above steps.
I do hope the report is updated with these easy to follow and fully
reproducible steps.
