John, I don't mind if you tell people on Usenet to RTFM, but what you
wrote was not appropriate here. People are free to ask what they want,
and don't have to be treated by a rude "RTF first".
If someone is new, he or she might not know about all the sources of
information. So it is OK to point them to the FAQ, and many other sources
of information, but it is wrong to tell people they should have first
looked there. That is up to them, and not up to you to decide.
