Yes, I know that. This said we are still waiting... Anyway, let's not go
there...

My view on D8 for .NET is that it wouldn't have made any difference to
release it in a year's time or so and instead concentrate on a D8 for Win32.
Not that many people seem to be willing to embrace the .NET wagon at this
stage. Also, who is going to use D8fN if not people who have already used
Delphi in the past? I would, indeed, be very surprised if there were going
to be lots of D8 users who have never used Delphi before. Microsoft's .NET
solutions have been around long before D8, and even C#B, so why bother with
Borland's solutions, especially since they don't add anything special (IMO
and based on the type of applications I develop). So, personally, the only
advantage I can see to D8fN is for those who have some Delphi for Win32 code
that they want to port to .NET, something that only few of us seem to be
ready to do at this stage...

Well, I did think so too, but then again... just look at the current
situation: there are lots of people who don't give a darmn about D8. All
they want is D7 to be fixed/updated/upgraded/etc.
