We use Virtual PC at work (MSDN copy). I bought a copy of VMWare for
"hobby" development (incidentally, before it shipped with MSDN). So
I've worked with both.

I guess the user interface issues come down to personal preference. I
don't see anything in Virtual PC that would make me change my mind about
purchasing VMWare.

However, on the benchmarking results I saw VPC was 4x slower than VMWare
(video). Also, VMWare beat out VPC in the disk IO stuff. Virtual PC
just seems more sluggish to me (having used both with "snapshots" turned
on).

For me, a major motivating factor was the Linux version of VMWare. It's
nice to have that option- I believe I can just copy my VMs as they are
(never tried this).

I'd be interested to know what it is that you really like about VPC.
