You Sir must be ill informed. When D5 was released the implementation of
ADOExpress was quite a problem and badly needed fixing. Borland's Mark
Eddington was on the database newsgroup once or twice a day for 3-4 months
harvesting bug reports which were plentiful. He usually acknowledged the
report and posted work-around code fixes within a day. He also entered them
into the internal bug tracking system and reported their tracking number as
a way for us on the newsgroup to identify each bug. IIRC more that 50 bugs
were assigned numbers, fixed and incorporated into a special SP. The good
will generated by that experience was enormous and has sustained my faith in
Borland to this day.
