coaxed into doing it right. :)

IMO, learn how to be one of the employees. My most successful apps have
been ones where I could stand in for any of the employees. Also, don't
make the users do something you wouldn't want to do yourself. If it sucks
to test, it will doubly suck to do it every day.

If this is a new project and the users are neophytes, you can make up the
rules as you go. The most import rule is to be consistent. I try to make
the application consistent with Windows expected behavior.

If they have an existing app, and you want to shorten the learning curve,
find out how the old app behaves and map those behaviors into your
framework.
