In your estimation. I see a LOT of posts here from people using .NET
specifically (and in some cases *only* for dot NET). Just because you
don't use it does not diminish it's usefulness to the development
community as a whole.

Whilst I am glad that your bailiwick appears to have been addressed,
the original complainant clearly has addressed an area of D8 that you
admit you don't use. Therefore, to provide a balanced opinion, it might
be fairer if you announce D8 to be solid from your *limited*
perspective.

How do you know? The demo has been available for some time now. In any
case, why would I need to use it? I'm not the one proclaiming that it
is something which it is not.
