Java Swing has changed since 1.3.1, but 1.4.x really changed the speed of
swing. Wait until 1.5, it is even faster. Prettier too :)

I do not doubt this at all. However, Sun is now giving away its Application
Server and JBoss is free as well. Who this will really hurt in the App
Server space, is BEA and IBM with Web Sphere, ( as far as revenue is
concerned), no doubt. Both of these will lose revenue, when MS has this
type of integration.

I think both NET and Java will be the platforms of the future, as will
Windows and Linux.
