    Some how the vision of bailing a sinking ship with a child's
    beach bucket comes to mind. Whatever you might think of
    MS Windows, by 1995 it did have the lion's mind share.

    That said, in the early in 1990 around the time Windows 3.0
    was introduced Berkeley Software sold a slick GUI OS (Geos)
    that was cleaner and slicker than Win 3 and could run on a 286.
    An earlier version ran on the Commodore 64.

    Borland wrote a version of Quattro Pro for a version called Geoworks.
    Too bad Berkeley forgot to offer any dev tools to developers. The
    could've given Redmond a run for its money.
