Generic issue related to modal forms

I would like to know if there is a solution to the following problem :

When an application is waiting on a showmodal action and the
application loose focus. If we click on the application icon, the
application activate but is blocked because the modal form stays
behind. We have to return to the application with Alt Tab to
retrieve the modal form on top.

I wish to know if there is a simple solution to this problem.
