I'm sure the Microsoft CEO earns a fair bit :) And yet his product is
cheaper than Borland's, so your logic doesn't apply.

I notice that Microsoft's main product lines, Windows and Office aren't
anywhere near as cheap as their development tools. I think it is a fairer
to compare these to Borland's main product lines. A full office (new user)
costs nearly a $1000 in Australia.

Why anyone buys a new user when they can get an upgrade fairly easy (and
legitimately) has always intrigued me.
