I didn't rest on the causes because I don't use D8 myself, but
ubdoubtedly there's a part of us claiming it's slower, and that
can't go unsaid.

In the cross platform filed, for example... anyway, I am sure you
could notice that there're several unrelated things mixed up.

That's due to the fact that the post was made upon time and
also to the fact that something though unrelated in their own
group, do relate on the bigger picture I am examining.

You don't have to. But if I care about a specific feature, I may
want to test it thoroughlly.

Borland can be surely better than me at qualifying them in detail.

Uh... I'm not sure, I never tried that path really :-)

Anyway I was speaking of services, not support in the stricter
sense.

Quality Central client from Borland is nearly unusable( at least,
used to be when I examined it ).

They may not be able to say much, but they can listen a whole more
lot.

The problem is double sided: client is one thing and Quality Central
service another.

Both from the Web and from Borland, client side I was less than
impressed at their client stuff for the service.

As regarding to your client, JED, I *do* have it, simply I can't
beleive what Borland lets you download is the best they can do
about it. That's my point.

Becoming BTP *costs money*.
Not everyone can afford it.

LOL!

Absolutely not, why you think that?! ( <g,d&r> )

Watch CodeCentral for my stuff. It's nice, simple, works and lets you do
most things with very small effort.

Yes, I am sure, but how about a few more samples?
Plus, OTA changes every alternate version... you can't
plan on anything serious unless you're going to go nuts to
keep up.

I'm talking *DELPHI* here not dotNET.

Yeah, then struggle with the browser, download the contract( which
might well be "embedded" somewhere and just printed out with all
fields filled ) and then sent. Easier, more practical, simpler.

That's why it's called "wish" list :-)

> What do you mean by this?

I mean to have a consistent pattern so that you can
turn a DLL into a package or vice versa.

Just beacuse it's not the same thing.

Not really, a nice step ahead would be for example have the two
separate units( registering one and component one ) and why not,
even the design time and runtime packages automatically generated at
will.

Yes, right now they just seem a joke.

I sure would prefer to see certain things cooking in the Borland one...

Costs money. I'm not speaking of a full-blown XML editor with
bells and whistles, just something helping you out without
having to necessarily buy some external tool.

YES!

Abother nice thing worth considering.

LOL

For example, make it less messy to use when it comes to
page generation and the like. I've had a really hard time
figuring out how to use it properly.

At a certain point I gave up.

What I'm speaking of is have an ancestor class set you can
derive your own pattern from.

Sure, when using QC is the mess that it is... I downloaded your
client around yesterday I think, so I'll add a few when I have a
minute.

Cheers,
