Sounds to me you're trying to use the wrong tool for your job.
I'd be using C and/or ASM with that kind of heavy duty requirements.

Delphi cannot be the best for everything.
It's a RAD tool that lets you make applications faster than other tools.
All that speed and ease of use comes at some price, one specifically
among others is performance.
And that is especially apparent in those parts that you are trying to
use it for..

Don't blame Borland for you choosing the wrong tool for the job..
