I received this e mail in my mail box & putting it up here.I also feel the
same.I am presently learning C # just to know how to code in delphi for
web(since there are more examples in C# & better mauals & books availble for
c# unlike delphi)
I put my faith in delphi 8 & bought it from my retirement savings. Now i find
th that i may have to upgrade to delphi 9 by spending another 40 to 50000
rupees in india(around 800 to 1000 $).
I dont have any hopes from Borland that it will give a free upgrade to
delphi 9 to its loyal customers

Hello,
I am a Delphi Developer (D5 Enterprise), In December I bougth Upgrade to
Delphi 8. I have to "work" with it, but It goes very slowly when load a
webapplication and where are the assistants?
Recently, I am evaluating web matrix and visual studio 2003 and it's very
easy to work...and the computer goes fast (in the same computer).
In addition I am evaluating the Visual Web Developer 2005 Express (BETA). I
am sad and gotten depressed ......
This generates a full web... yes, completely: Login, gallery, menus, etc
What happens with Delphi8?
Why it is so difficult Delphi8 for a Delphi Developer (5 years with Delphi5
Enterprise)?
Why it is so easy with Visual Studio, web matrix or Visual Web Developer
2005 Express for a Non Visual Basic Developer?
Why I am thinking what has left to compete with Microsoft?
is Borland going to do something on the matter?
why Borland Increases Predictability and Discipline of Software Development
through Acquisition of ESTIMATE Professional
instead of finishing and improving Delphi8 (for examplo dbgo to delphi8 ?
In summary, I believe that Delphi8 has been a bad investment;
Thank heavens that gave a Delphi7 to me and, at least, it will serve to
update my projects from Delphi5 to Delphi7.............
............something is something said a bald one when was a comb.
once again, a great deception
Thanks from Spain.
A disappointed and frustrated developer.
