Perhaps, but then I guess it would very much depend on the host machine.
For instance, roughly how fast would the new IDE be to load on a machine of
~1GHz, 256MB RAM? This is my setup at work at present, and D7 takes
roughly, roughly 5-10 seconds to load. Which is perfectly fine with me
since it only has to be loaded once -- it's when it crashes and I have to
restart it that it begins to annoy.

All in all I can live with a performance reduction, so long as it comes with
an increase in stability. Now if it were to go faster and be more
reliable... well, I'd be very happy, we'll leave it at that. :-)

Just whatever you do, don't integrate a paperclip in to the IDE... I think
I'd have to start hurting people if something kept uttering "It looks like
you're writing a for loop..." ;-)
