Here "not native" mean "not native to entrie environment, it's rules,
it's traditions, it's paths of solving certain problems". From this
many problems of Borland's on Linux was created.
Example: there are several paths to deploy applications on Linux,
including tarballs and RPMs. Borland choosed to create some kind of
installator instead of plain "rpm -ihv /mnt/cdrom/kylix3_core.rpm" or
unpacking it from tarball. And immediately many people had problems
with installation.
Oracle do same way. They use installator written in Java. One of
frequent rants is: "I cannot install Oracle because it's installer do
something wrong, or just crash."
Why all that complexity? Why all that curve ways to solve problems
instead of plain and standard for Linux?
