I'm implementing a feature freeze as soon as the RSS stuff is done enough to
be useable*, so it ought to be a week or two. Then while you guys are
fiddling around with the beta, I'll write the manual/help files and get the
credits, splash screen and icons ready. Release by the end of the year.
Unless something disruptive happens to me.

*It is already to the point where you can add RSS Feeds to newsgroup folders
and see RSS news items mixed in with regular newsgroup messages. I just have
to make the popup menues and stuff make sense when you have a news item
selected instead of a newsfeed item.

What is "local content"?

Read Jake's Blog at http://blogs.slcdug.org/jjacobson/
Or Get the RSS Feed at http://blogs.slcdug.org/jjacobson/Rss.aspx
Everything contained in this post that is not quoted from others, is merely
an opinion. It may be a well-informed opinion motivated by an uncanny grasp
of facts and amazingly well-formulated theories, but it remains opinion
nevertheless. I speak for nobody but myself, and even then I may get it
wrong from time to time.
