Actually, it sounds like the "start-up" mechanism just needs to check that
file off of its list. Presumably, if the IDE attempts to actually load it
it will blow up.
Allen Bauer explained that he has implemented "on-demand" loading of
packages in his blog, so that would explain why it didn't blow up
immediately.
