I do agre that there must be some missing/incompatible dependencies. Now, as
to determine the depencies of my application. Sure, I guess I could check
which DLLs it requires and then compare with a 'clean' system, but that
would again take me quite some time to do all of that. No, I guess I would
rather wait for a service pack and see how it goes by playing with it within
VMWare. I need to work on my project, not to beta test D2005 with my project
as a study case.

Yes, see the thread I started and that is called "Delphi 2005 Pro -
Converting a D7 Project to it... (long!)".

I still have D7 installed and, indeed, I tried to recompile my project with
it and it compiled fine, which I was very pleased with. Then, I tried to run
it, but as stated above, it did not. From there, I kind of gave up.

Right now, I am thinking of removing D2005 from my system. In fact, I have
the feeling I should probably reinstall my whole system, as I am not 100%
sure that uninstalling D2005 will really solve the problem (I cannot rely on
D2005 and the other bits it uses to uninstall 'properly').

    Alan.

PS: sorry for my reply to your other message of mine in "Delphi 2005 Pro -
Converting a D7 Project to it... (long!)". I can see you are trying to help.
I guess I am just very frustrated right now...
