Unfortunately, I don't have the time to spend every second
with them when they want to be on the internet. They do
know about porn sights and I hope I have taught them not to
go looking for them. But with all the spam and everything
else out there, I am trying to keep it from finding them.
My daughters still don't have email, just IM capability
because of SPAM. Once I figure out a good way to white list
their friends so they can only get email from them, I will
let them get email.
You can't protect your kids completely, but I think these
software products help. As you I hope that I have taught
them well enough that I can trust them with the internet by
the time they are 16. In the mean time, my wife, I, and
software will do the best we can to be their training wheels.
