CodeRush for Delphi never did do refactoring at all. Toward the end, Mark
Miller talked about some third-party that was working on adding refactoring
using CR, then later said the task had been shelved because of bugs in the
tools API and the IDE that made refactoring impossible to do in a stable
manner. Shortly thereafter two things happened: 1) further work on CR for
Delphi was abandoned (just as I predicted/feared much to the annoyance of
devExpress, Eagle Software's new owners) and 2) Castalia and CodeExplorer
came out, offering refactoring for Delphi. Based on my experience I know
that CodeExplorer has been rock solid in the years I've been using it, which
indicates to me that Mark may have been incorrect when he hinted that bugs
in the API and IDE prevented such a possibility.
