Yes, and a good idea IMHO. Some of the hardware on current transport
category airplanes is running a well known and not so stable OS for portions
of the system, and that's scary. The phrases "mission critical" and
"Microsoft" are much like vinegar and oil.... Frequent updates with new
features that the market demands make for lots of bugs and an unstable
platform. But that's the price of getting new features fast.
