That's the trouble with an essentially binary fact/opinion analysis.

s1: Intel is making EMT chips
s2: I have a mole on my left foot.
s3: the universe isn't going to end tomorrow.
s4: all developers will want to write 64bit software by tomorrow.

s1 is a generally verifiable fact.
s2 might be a correct assertion (fact) or an incorrect one, but it's not
something you're likely to be able to either verify or disprove, nor is it
merely an opinion (a truth condition does exist, despite not being readily
available to you).
s3, like s2, is currently unverifiable, but is not without arguability based
on physics, past perfomance of the universe, etc. But while probably worthy
of acceptance as a base hypothesis, can't really be said to be a fact
either. I would be concerned, however, about attempting to reason with one
who disputes it.
s4 has basically the same status as s3, but while equally opinion, hardly
enjoys the same credit worthiness. All opinions are not equal.

Certainly, section A contained opinions. However, I regard them all as
"probably worthy of acceptance as base hypotheses"--if someone disagrees,
then we've clarified an argumentative assumption and so made it possible to
examine how our conclusions ultimately diverged.

No need, but frankly I find the study of rhetoric and ideology more
pertinent to following this newsgroup than formal logic.
