I expect he means *if* you need to replace it (at all), in 6-12 months
it would be hard (if not impossible) to find replacement parts.
My guess is by that time you'd just buy a new 64-bit machine, because
they'd be a lot cheaper by then <g>
In any event, buying a 32-bit system right now is silly only if one
doesn't get enough worth out of it; pretty much like anything one buys.
