I'd let Danny to explain what he meant assuming that he'd bother doing
it. All this 1% of 1 billion is pure nonsense. All depends from
particular situation.
Also being in billion dollar market usually means tough competition
and all the beauty of being public company. And that 1% has
to be shared by who knows how many. I am pretty sure that
Borland's CEO is enjoying the benefits of that market.
Danny I assume is just an employee there and I doubt that
he gets any significant chunk of that wonderful pie.
I'd be happy to be wrong in this case because he is doing
such a big and important job. In MS guys like him probably
become millionaires after some time.
Personally I love niche markets. You just have to find the
right one.
