You can get one for < $500 from Compaq. In April when Intel moves all
their desktop processors to support EM64T (including the el cheapo
Celeron D (which goes for < $90)) you'll see $250-300 64-bit systems.
You're not really as clever as you think you are in claiming that
64-bit systems are still "expensive"...
