Absolutely, I have no argument with this. I do care enough though to
warn about spending time in what i believe to be an excercise in
futility. i.e. its unlikely in the extreme that any decision makers in
Borland will alter a decision because of posts in this newsgroup, And
its not as if Borland's position hasn't been made abundantly clear, at
this stage I am not sure what the vocal 64bit advocates hope to achieve
in here ?

Sure, but do any of you really think that it will happen based on posts
in here ? As a peer support mechanism these groups are brilliant (and
is exactly what they are designed for) , but as a delivery mechanism of
"Developer pulse" to Borland, frankly they suck.

I didn't mention that I care about people with slow connections, I just
mentioned my fast connection ;-) and the fact that *I* have no issues
with the extreme number of 64bit posts...personally I think that people
with slow connections would be better off not being in Non-Tech at all,
as the signal to noise ratio is always going to be favouring noise,
even without the 64bit posts.

Yes, I can see where you are coming from, development is extremely
varied and complex to catergorize, but I guess you could agree that
.NET currently provides support for windows development, database
application development, web development, distributed computing etc,
things that are necessary for a great number of general computing
tasks, and targets OS's that are widely available and indeed have a
broad installed base right now, today.
Cheers Tim.
