Microsoft, Intel and HP bring their Route64 Training Tour 2005 to North
America and Europe.
Quote from http://www.route64.net/:
"The 64-bit age has arrived! New Windows and SQL 64-bit products from
Microsoft will be launched in 2005. Microsoft, Intel and HP want to work
with valued partners and customers to take advantage of this new platform."
"Windows 64-bit is ready, are you?"
"New Market Opportunities: Windows 64-bit is an ideal platform for technical
computing, database, business intelligence, ERP, HPC and security."
>From the training overview at http://www.route64.net/classinfo.aspx:
Day1:
- 64-bit Roadmap (Microsoft, Intel & HP)
- Architecture & Tools Overview
- Migrating C/C++ Applications to Windows 64-bit (Part I/II)
Day2:
- Running 32-bit applications on Windows 64-bit
- Preserving 32-bit dependencies
- .NET managed Code in 64-bit
- COM Components in 64-bit
Day3:
- Migrating and Optimizing to SQL Server 2000 64-bit Edition
- Using Performance Analysis Tools
- Optimizations using Intel Compiler for 64-bit
I wish representatives from Borland would participate on Day1 and would give
us their share of their own 64-bit roadmap (Delphi 10 with a DCC64 preview,
anyone?).
Danny, make some real use of your 3 AMD64-machines and give them some stuff
to eat (native)!
I will try to attend the munich workshop. If other community members should
attend there as well, then please let me know and we can arrange for a
meeting (psleuth@nospam.gmail.com).
Best regards,
-Peter
