I would guess a lot of people bought D8 only because it came with D7. When
we purchased our copies of D8 with SA at Borcon 2003, it was to get D7 and
CF support for dot net . Here it is 2005 and we got D2005 due to the SA as
we anticipated, but we also had to purchase MSDN to support development of
the Compact Frameworks. I have renewed our SA agreement, but will D10
support CF? who knows. I have two D8 licenses and never used, I would
venture this is the case for the majority of D8 packages. It is now time to
renew the MSDN subscription, and I will do that as I still need CF support,
will we renew SA again, that is up in the air.
