I don't use StarTeam, even though I got a license for it, but I can't
imagine working with a version control system without those two
features.
I always tweak my files before doing a commit (mostly on DFMs, remove
unwanted changes), and even though merges are not frequent, resolving
conflicts manually is a pain.
