I'm happy with the overall direction of Delphi right now. I can do .NET in
Delphi and C# (and I suppose VB.NET if I ever lost my sanity long enough to
try it...) and Win32 in the same environment. Soon it appears C++ if I lost
my sanity long enough to use that as well. :-) I haven't had any
showstopper problems with the new environment and I've gotten used to a lot
of the new features. I really miss them when I go back to D7.
I don't have Architect, but understand why one would expect Bold to be
available for Win32. Why isn't it? ECO is .NET, not Win32 and in my eyes
not a direct replacement...
I'm not waiting for a Win64 compiler
I'm still a little bitter about buying two versions of abandonware called
Kylix
I'm not waiting for unicode VCL (but would love to see it if it fell out of
the sky tomorrow..)
Who isn't waiting for bugfixes?
I *definitely* need web services
I *definitely* need ADO stuff
I whiningly and grudgingly need .NET, but quite against my will
So that's this readers take...
