I don't agree with this in any kind of general sense.
A successful supplier (such as Borland) should know their market, because
that's how they got into the market in the first place.

If I wanted my customer's to help me determine how to sell my product
better, then I guess I would ask them, but I doubt I would do it in a
public forum like this. It just doesn't seem right.

A factor that is influencing my opinion, is that I suspect that Michael
will get a lot of opinions etc... that are less to do with marketing and
more to do with the state of the product. Which also in my opinion would
waste a great deal of his time if he were to start reading and responding to
such posts. I may of course be wrong, and time will obviously tell.

I'll be most interested to see how this progresses.
