Delphi, .NET, Generics (et al)

thinking about starting my .NET transition and wondering what tools to use.
I've got Borlands, which I really like, been a user of for eons (I think I
remember TP 3, maybe it was 2) and now considering where to go.

The sticking point with me right now is working on .NET 2.0, which doesn't
seem to be an option with Borland. Thinkgs like generics (which is supported
by C# beta and object pascal) and ASP 2 are nice features in .NET 2, but
Borland hasn't offered anything for .NET 2 yet.

And I don't see this problem going away. After .NET 2, afaik, there will be
Avalon--and do we have to wait until that comes out before Borland will
support it?

Borland has always given me the edge over my competitor. So the honest
question, what/how is Borland going to do this in the future?

Thanks,
Ed Dressel
