Usefulness of UML?

    I would like to invite the visitors of this forum to share
    their opinions on UML tools, their experiences and maybe
    some links to tutorials etcetera. I am currently uncertain
    if I should spend time and money on UML tools (I use Delphi 7).

    -What do you use UML for?

    -Does it save you time, cost more time, and/or improve
      code quality?

    -Do you use UML tools in the planning phase or for reverse-
      engineering poorly legible source code?
