I am also an EE, and for many years was a registered P. Eng. in Canada.
Software always my strong suit; I moved from hardware/software systems
and designed my last board in 1981.
One of my projects (as a contractor) was to design and implement a
custom compiler and an interpreter for an IC chip test language in 1978,
written in 6809 structured assembler. I got into LISP big time for
quite a while, and published a tutorial and a how-to series that were
syndicated in 3 magazines. I found computer graphics interesting and
worked on graphics systems for the display system of a non-contact
inspection system for nuclear power plants; designed and marketed a 2D
CAD program in the days before AutoCAD; conceived and implemented 3D
mine design software and more. I've done a bunch of other things
besides programming, including management, teaching, writing (and yes,
marketing.)
My resume doesn't show all the languages, packages and technologies I
worked with over the years, there isn't any point in mentioning obsolete
technology.
I am particularly interested in technical business strategy, and how to
work with community to leverage resource for mutual benefit. Good karma
returns.
