My idea is to have a sort of "moderated wiki" where sections can be
opened and closed, then you can review the result, add a few things,
then just run some job collecting the bits to put together for a
final review and help compilation.

Nice idea... I like it! If this takes too long to put together then someone can simply add a "help improvement" section to delphi.wikicities.com. I'm not sure where the best place would be to put this... but perhaps a general "Improvements to Delphi" would be in order?

That way, things would get *far* easier for techwriters to manage and
results be much more accurate and extensive(maybe giving out some
reward to the best/most accurate wikers?).

The nice thing about wikis (at least MediaWiki - the wiki used for wikicities and wikipedia) is that you can monitor the RSS feed for changes. So you don't have to keep going back to the site to see what has changed.

I think you've got a great idea there... let's hope Borland listens. Wikis are a great way of building documentation of any kind. If this is endorsed by Borland and a link to the wiki (the one they set up) is added to the help pages it'll make it that much more accessible.

Of course, this may be more admin overhead for them if it is moderated. So perhaps the external wiki would be better anyway.

Cheers,
Kevin.
