Not when you're dealing with other people's code.
I mostly deal with other people's code :-) I've seen it, but it is hardly the most common situation.
Seems like whenever I have to maintain someone else's work, there's hidden stuff all over...
You have my sympathies.
Oh yeah, use it all the time, but doesn't help when trying to find a control that's covered by another...
Usually I've found it to be a parent completely covered by a child that is the hidden control. Any other situation sounds scary :-)
