I fully beleive btnCancel is absolutely as clear as CancelButton, or qryCustomer is as clear as CustomerQuery.
But if I show that to my wife, who learned Pascal at uni, but doesn't do a lot of programming these days, which do you think she'll pick, if I don't explain it to her?
And at one time, the same would also have been true of you and Eric. HN is *not* as clear - there is absolutely no doubt about it. It is not a matter of opinion. You can learn it, like you can learn any new language, but there is no advantage in doing so.
