Sorry, I;m not being clear. The level of precision in types can be identical either by using an abbreviation or a full name. So for example, we would both use "btn" and "Button" to mean the same thing (ie some sort of button, be it a TButton, TBitBtn, or whatever). However, in your scheme you have to know the extra information that "btn" means "Button". Now, this is not particularly onerous, but it is nonetheless a teeny weeny bit harder. If you keep adding abbreviations, at some point it gets unsupportable, which is why even you stop doing that at some point, yes?
