Hi Ingvar, I don't exactly understand your question. Do you mean that
how can one restore a partition from a bootable CD if that application
requires .NET?
Well, as incredible as may seem, Ghost 2005 is supposed to restore your
boot partition while Windows is running (I haven't tested that, but
people say that it works). But just in case, the Ghost 2005 CD is
bootable and comes with a Windows Preinstallation Environment (which
takes ages to load), that perhaps comes with .NET integrated.
What is hilarious is that Ghost 2005 CANNOT create images when booting
from the CD (for example, do you want to image your perfectly clean
Windows installation? You can't. You must first install .NET, then
Ghost 2005 and then make the image from inside Windows).

    ... I do have a second HDD on the desktop and sorry for I did not mention ... I have to use Ghost to boot from the notebook to perform the restore ... So my thought about using desktop to do the restore process and then just ... partition, and after that would have around 60G partitioned space ...
