Let's not to be dramatic. There is nothing fantastic about OOP.
Just an approach. VB programmers could've had it for ages by
switching to another tool but they chose not to. As for
..NET they are actually screaming out loud about broken
compatibility.

4) Future compatibility 

How long before MS introduces yet another brave new thing.
I get sick just looking at number of their data access
technologies accumulated over the time.
