Although Firebird is our primary database, we do have some legacy MySQL
tables. I use XP, D7, and SciBit as well as MyDAC components. I haven't
worked with them enough to be able to compare and say one is better than the
other, but I can say two things:

1) My boss switched from SciBit to MyDAC (all new apps using the MySQL data
use MyDAC)
2) Based on the number of components, and the "professionalism" of the
components' glyphs, I tend to have more confidence in MyDAC, although most
might be rather lame reasons to do so.
