No wonder. I found EVERYTHING to be a real pain when I had only 512MB RAM,
not just D2005. When I upgraded to 1GB and a 3.2GHz Pentium 630, I no longer
spent my time sitting there waiting for the system to stop thrashing.

D2005, as patched and configured, starts up very quickly, just a few seconds,
on this system. Changing tabs is instantaneous. Running programs in debug
mode is fast and painless.

Hardware can make all the difference in the world.
