PHP vs ASP.NET

Hi,

we're considering about writing a multi-tier app based on web components.
First of all we need to decide which language would be the best for it.
Since we have D2005, ASP.NET could be the first election, but i would like
to know if it's better or not than PHP.

Btw, is there anything like PHP .NET on the way or already there?

Any feedback about which you consider better will be welcome! :)
