Maybe, maybe not. How would you know? If they suffered that badly with D8
(they said they didn't) then maybe they would have changed directions all by
themselves instead of charging harder in that direction.

I don't think that response calls for a serious reply. You totally miss the
target regarding the many business benefits it has to Borland and their
custoemrs, and you accuse me of being vague? Really, I have better things to
spend time discussing.

You've missed the target again, by a wide mark.
It's not a credibility issue. They are extremely credible. Borland are on
one of the biggest bandwagons in town. PHB's have been pumped regarding the
benefits of .net by MS for years.
The point here is that Borland are followers, not leaders and, as you have
pointed out, as MS own the OS, the platform and pretty much everything and
call all the shots, this is a hard road for Borland. Borland *have* to
continue to out-innovate MS by large margins (currently with ALM, ECO) to
stay in the game.
