c++ can seem like a lot of effort to get no where fast.. Ive recently
written a linux monitoring system in C, from scratch in VI.. and hell
did that seem like hard going.

VB is a fun "toy" but I wouldnt consider it anything more than a toy,
too many bad experiences with its forerunners, I know its changed and
grown a fair bit, but, I couldnt polymorph the things I wanted, I could
be as lazy as hell but I couldnt do things like a onmousedown
customized thing for images.. I was mad.

Delphi is a great tool it can be treated simply and almost a vb
equivelent, or you can go hardcore, with points, assembler .. or
whatever level suits you and what you're doing.
