I learnt to program in the days when the thing to have was Turbo Pascal.
There was this new fanged monster that was slowly slouching toward me
through the night - the amazing 486! I couldn't wait. And more, there was
this thing - but could that be more than a dream? - called Windows 3. :)
I've just revealed how really old I am. Ooops. But anyway, I'm one of those
that never learnt C/C++. I've always stuck with Pascal or Basic. For my pet
projects there was never any need for more. Now when I try to get to grips
with the "must have" of C/C++ it looks like greek to me. And I can't be
bothered.
I'm just glad I finished CoolPad two days before the trial expires. Now I'll
go back to my old copy of Delphi 6. But I now know what I want for
Christmas. :)
